AC Energy to develop 300 MW solar projects in Vietnam

Pure Energy acquires three Central Luzon Solar plants

Ayala Corp.’s AC Energy is set to develop over 300 MW worth of solar power plants in Vietnam.

AC energy has partnered up with the BIM Group of Vietnam to develop over 300 MW of solar power projects in the Ninh Thuan province.

“AC Energy is very keen to participate in the fast-growing Vietnam power sector, with pioneering investments in renewable energy. We are delighted to partner with BIM group, which has a significant presence in Ninh Tuan province, which in turn has among the best solar irradiance in the country,” AC Energy CEO John Eric Francia said.

The two companies begun with an initial phase of a 30 MW plant that broke ground in January 23 with Conergy Asia and ME as the construction partner.

This phase is expected to reach VND 800 billion or P1.8 billion worth of investments and is targeted for completion within the year.
Upon completion, the plant is seen to expand by 300 MW more.

The BIM group is a diversified corporation in Vietnam that works in the tourism development and real estate investment, agriculture – food, commercial services, and renewable energy.
