Buskowitz installs 4,000 solar panels in Pangasinan mall

Mr Ramon Michael Guico

Local solar company Buskowitz launched its first and biggest commercial solar PV system which includes 4,000 solar panels generating 1.1 MW of energy in San Carlos Town Center (SCTC) in Pangasinan.

SCTC owner Mike Guico said they wanted to utilize solar as their source of power in their company for some time.

“But we didn’t want to do so until we found a company that is straightforward and easy to talk with, which is what we found with Buskowitz,” he said.

San Carlos City Mayor Joseres S. Resuello lauded the partnership of Buskowitz and San Carlos to provide clean and greener energy to Pangasinan mall-goers.

“On behalf of the City Government of San Carlos, it is with great pride and honor to convey our heartfelt recognition and warmest felicitations to the management of San Carlos Town Center for doing their exemplary share in protecting our environment by setting to install more than 4,000 solar panels in their pristine establishment through the Buskowitz Energy, the equivalent of 1.1 MW or 1,100 KW peak.”

This partnership made SCTC the first and biggest commercial solar powered in the entire region.

The installation will produce the same amount of electricity to power 184 homes for one year, saving the equivalent of 176 hectares of Philippine forests annually.  It will also save 1.3M pounds of coal from being burned, the equivalent of 138,428 gallons of gasoline.

“Clean, renewable, and sustainable energy is what is going to drive the Philippines forward both in terms of the economy and the protection of the environment, and Buskowitz is really glad to have been involved in such a great project in Pangasinan that not only benefits its environment, but also hopefully encourages other businesses and individuals to make the switch for themselves,” said Buskowitz CEO James Buskowitz.

Pangasinan had its first solar installation a few years back when it installed solar light posts at the City Plaza and street lights along Palaris Street, Plaza Jaycee, and Rizal Avenue.
