Different businesses and local government units (LGUs) will be recognized for being the unsung heroes of electrical safety at the second Meralco K-Ligtas Awards.
The K-Ligtas or Kuryenteng Ligtas Awards recognizes business and organizations for their electrical safety excellence and invaluable heroism in promoting safety in the workplace.
The awards consist of five categories: Industrial Business, Commercial Business, Small Industrial Business, LGU city, and LGU Municipality, all of which are evaluated by the K-Ligtas Awards Committee.
K-Ligtas Awards is the first electrical safety excellence awards in the Philippines that recognizes institutions that have successfully integrated electrical safety and outstanding work practices into its corporate values and demonstrated commitment and outstanding results in the field of electrical safety.
The 2017 Meralco K-Ligtas Awards will be on November 17, 2017 (Friday) at the SMX Convention Center.
K-Ligtas Awards is an advocacy program of Meralco through the Meralco Power Academy, in collaboration with the country’s premier authorities in electrical systems, labor management and public safety, including the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEE), Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Labor and Employment- Occupational Safety and Health Center, Professional Regulation Commission- Board of Electrical Engineering, University of the Philippines Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute, and Bureau of Fire Protection.
