Independent Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. sealed an expanded partnership for into-plane and other services with budget flight carrier Cebu Pacific.

On top of fuel storage and bridging services the oil firm already provides, the said partnership will include into-plane services in Bacolod, Dumaguete, and soon in Mactan airports, Phoenix Petroleum a said in a statement.

With the addition of the two airports, Phoenix Petroleum’s total number of domestic airports served is 17, one in Luzon, eight in Visayas, and eight in Mindanao.

Phoenix has also started servicing Cebu Pacific in Roxas Airport in Capiz and in San Jose airport in Occidental Mindoro, which is the first airport it is serving in Luzon.

“We look forward to serving Cebu Pacific in more destinations as we aspire to be the Filipinos’ indispensable partner in their journeys,” Phoenix Petroleum COO Henry Albert Fadullon said.

The oil firm has been the exclusive logistics partner of Cebu Pacific in Mindanao, providing hauling and into-plane services since 2005 when the oil company was just starting in Davao City.

The two companies renewed their supply agreement for jet fuel through Phoenix’s subsidiary, Subic Petroleum Trading & Transport Phils Inc., last January.

Phoenix Petroleum is among the country’s top three providers of fuel in power, marine, manufacturing, transportation, aviation, and other industries.

One of its major accounts is Cebu Pacific where it supplies majority of the budget airline’s requirements. Outside Manila, it provides fuel requirements for Philippine Airlines.

Recently, the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) was added in its list of commercial clients, supplying fuel to the 11 fuel stations of Meralco.

Phoenix is also engaged in trading and marketing of refined oil products such as, liquefied petroleum gas and lubricants; operating of depots and storage facilities; and trading and supply.

The oil firm continues to expand more businesses in convenience store retailing through Philippine FamilyMart, as well as asphalt manufacturing, marketing, and distribution through Phoenix Asphalt.

Phoenix also recently signed an MOU with China National Offshore Oil Corporation Gas and Power Group Co. Ltd. for a potential liquefied natural gas project.
