Typhoon Quinta has damaged an estimated Php1,112,499.72 worth of power facilities, according to the National Electrification Administration (NEA).
The NEA also reported that 35 electric cooperatives were affected, 12 of which have resumed normal operations.
Meanwhile, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines reports that several areas in Batangas and Camarines Sur remain without power. In addition, the Department of Energy (DOE) noted that 356,996 customers of the Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) also await power restoration.
As for the Luzon Grid-connected power plants, the DOE reported that none were affected by Quinta.
