Aboitiz Power Corporation’s oil business unit (BU) recently gained its Quality Management System certification audit which covers all oil-fired power plants of the company in the country.
Following the certification, this makes AboitizPower’s BU internationally certified on three Management Systems like Safety, Environment, and Quality with zero non-conformance.
“These certifications reflect that quality, safety, and environmental management have always been at the forefront of our business operations,” AboitizPower Oil BU President and COO Danel Aboitiz said.
In December 2016, AboitizPower Oil BU gained its Environmental Management System and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS) certifications
Oil BU aims to sustain the efficiency of its operations and further improve customer satisfaction, promote a culture of improvement in its processes and encourage an engaged workforce.
“[The framework of AP Gen Internal audit team is] very professional and uses very mature risk-based toolsets for their engagement with the Oil Business Unit,” TÜV Rheinland, who conducted the certification audit, said in their report.
AboitizPower Oil BU is set to launch its Asset Management System and Information Security Management System next year. The systems will also be vying for certifications.
