To support the diversification of the country’s energy mix, Aboitiz Power Corporation says that it is considering using a combination of renewable energy, traditional generating resources, and other emerging technologies.

Manila Bulletin reported that AboitizPowern aligned with government’s push for more sustainable solutions to meet the country’s call for a more stable electricity system.

AboitizPower also recognized the effort to improve the country’s power transmission system, saying that this feat will open up capacity  intended to satisfy the needs of demand centers and advance the economy ahead.

A reliable power transmission was always on the industry’s wish list, particularly for investors in the renewables sector, who require grid integration facilities.

The corporation believes that by addressing power supply dependability and affordability throughout the supply chain, the country would be able to maintain its economic gains and achieve its desired upper middle income level.

In line with  this, AboitizPower is expanding the use of innovative technologies throughout its supply chain, including digital twins and generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, to assist in developing the operations of power facilities, including the distribution segment of its portfolio.

The firm voiced its support for the President’s call for increased innovation in the country during his third State of the Nation Address (SONA).

AboitizPower has announced its commitment to advancing operational efficiency by integrating innovative technologies across its power generation assets. This includes the creation of digital twins for its Therma South and Therma Visayas plants and the adoption of new technology at its Tiwi geothermal plant’s binary facility in Albay.
