BKS Green Energy Corporation (BKSGEC), renewable energy developer and a subsidiary of the Yuchengco-led Rizal Green Energy Corp. (RGEC), has donated an ambulance and medical equipment to the Municipality of San Pablo, Isabela, to help strengthen emergency response and improve access to healthcare services in remote communities.
The turnover was held on March 16, 2026, in Barangay Limbauan during the ceremonial switch-on of the company’s 40 MWDC Limbauan Solar Power Project, with company officials and local government representatives present.
The donated ambulance is expected to enhance the municipality’s ability to respond to medical emergencies, particularly in far-flung barangays where access to healthcare services remains limited.
“This ambulance donation reflects our belief that responsible energy development must go hand in hand with meaningful community support,” said BKSGEC Vice President for Business Development and Commercial Operations Maria Victoria M. Olivar. “Through We Power H.E.L.P., we aim to address priority needs of our host communities, especially in health, where timely access to services can save lives.”
San Pablo Mayor Antonio Jose T. Miro III welcomed the initiative, saying it would help improve the delivery of essential services to residents. “This project demonstrates how private sector initiatives can effectively complement local government efforts to enhance the quality of life of our constituents,” he said.
The donation forms part of BKSGEC’s corporate social responsibility program, We Power H.E.L.P. (Health, Education, and Lifelong Development Program), which focuses on supporting host communities through initiatives in healthcare, education, and development.
Beyond healthcare, the company also implements programs aimed at improving access to education and promoting youth development, including assistance to local schools, provision of educational materials, and scholarship opportunities for students.
The initiative highlights how renewable energy projects can contribute to community development alongside power generation, particularly in areas where access to basic services remains a challenge.
