The installation of the four Francis-type turbine units for the 25.4-megawatt (MW) Manolo Fortich Hydropower Plant 2 of the Hedcor Bukidnon, Inc. is halfway done through Andritz Hydro.

The project is also eyeing its commissioning by the fourth quarter of 2017, Hedcor Vice President for Operations, Rolando Pacquiao said.

“Aside from installing the electromechanical equipment, Andritz ensures quality control of the entire hydro system such as analysis, target points, alignment, and ensures the hydro plant will soon generate power, efficiently,” Pacquiao added.

The Manolo Fortichh hydropower plant 1 will have two units each of Francis – type and Pelton-type turbines.

Andritz Hydro currently has a 15 million Eurodollar contract to complete the electromechanical works of two of Hedcor’s newest power plants.

Hedcor currently manages and operates 22 hydropower plants and supplies 185 MW of clean and renewable energy to the country.
