LongNeng Power has launched its first Energy Management Contract (EMC) project in the Philippines to further develop the country’s renewable energy sector.
Manila Standard reported that Mobisolar, a Philippine solar company will carry out this project.
This project will deploy a 1.82 megawatt peak (MWp) photovoltaic (PV) system, expected to generate around 2.73 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity yearly.
Additionally, the establishment of this project marked LongNeng Power’s advancement in their energy portfolio in the country, highlighting their dedication to creating a positive impact on the environment through investments.
Earlier, President Marcos Jr., alongside the Department of Energy (DOE), emphasized the critical role of renewable energy projects in advancing clean energy adoption nationwide.
They stressed that collaboration among stakeholders—such as local government units (LGUs), renewable energy developers, and industry leaders—is essential for driving solar energy initiatives forward.
