For households looking to store and manage energy, low-voltage energy storage systems are emerging as the more economical and versatile solution.

In contrast to high-voltage systems that require connecting smaller battery cells in series, low-voltage systems function with parallel configurations. This setup enables the use of larger, more affordable battery cells with capacities of 100 amp hours (Ah) or higher.

The benefits are twofold: reduced overall costs and simplified balance-of-system (BOS) requirements, making low-voltage systems a more viable option for residential users.

To provide affordable and flexible low-voltage energy storage solutions, Solis introduced the S6-EH3P (8-15)K inverter, designed to cater to the specific demands of residential energy storage.

Designed for optimal residential energy storage, this inverter operates within a 48-volt (V) battery voltage range, making it an ideal solution for low-voltage systems, typically running between 40-60 V.

This innovation is engineered to handle varying household energy requirements while ensuring smooth compatibility with PV panels and a range of battery options, from lithium-ion to lead-acid, providing flexibility and efficiency for homeowners.

The S6-EH3P inverter features seamless automatic switching between the battery and diesel generator during power outages, guaranteeing a continuous energy supply.

Meanwhile, its Smart Load Management function allows for the prioritization of essential appliances, ensuring efficient energy use in off-grid conditions.

With a robust 200% overload capability, the S6-EH3P(8-15)K can power high-demand devices like air conditioners and refrigerators without any performance loss. Additionally, its 4ms switching speed during power interruptions provides near-instantaneous power restoration, making it a reliable solution for sensitive equipment.

This model supports parallel connections of up to six units, enabling a total capacity of up to 90 kilowatts (kW). This flexibility provides an ideal solution for homes with evolving energy needs, accommodating the addition of high-power appliances as household demands increase.

With a parallel battery configuration, this inverter allows for the easy replacement of individual battery modules without impacting the overall system, making maintenance simpler and more cost-effective.

The lower operating voltage also contributes to reduced safety risks, making it a safer choice for residential environments.

Solis has been dedicated to providing effective, cost-efficient, and reliable energy storage solutions, and with features designed to cater to a wide range of power demands, these inverters redefine residential energy resilience and sustainability.
