Petron Foundation, in collaboration with AHA Learning Center, successfully conducted the second session of the “Pamilyang TAP: Talino, Abilidad, Posibilidad” module under its Best U Can Be (BUCB) Program. This latest session, held last month, focused on enhancing the public speaking abilities of Grade 7 and 8 Tulong Aral ng Petron (TAP) scholars from Manila.

Through a series of fun and interactive exercises, the young scholars learned how to organize their thoughts, construct persuasive arguments, and deliver speeches with confidence. The session aimed to foster not only communication skills but also critical thinking and self-assurance—essential tools for their academic and personal growth.

The BUCB program, which resumed in November 2024 after a pandemic-induced hiatus, is designed to support high school TAP scholars by developing their practical life skills. The first session, held at SMC’s Better World Smokey Mountain, focused on improving active listening and note-taking abilities. This recent public speaking session continued the program’s mission to empower students with vital competencies to thrive in school and beyond.

Integral to the program’s success are Petron employee volunteers, TAP parents, and TAP college scholars, who play a key role in facilitating the workshops. Their involvement strengthens the sense of community and reinforces Petron Foundation’s commitment to fostering holistic development through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

In 2025, Petron Foundation plans to expand its educational programs, including new workshops on digital literacy and environmental awareness. These initiatives aim to provide scholars with a comprehensive skill set to navigate an increasingly complex world while fostering social responsibility and innovation.

As the BUCB program progresses, Petron Foundation and AHA Learning Center remain dedicated to shaping the next generation of leaders by equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
