Power Ai Philippines convened solar technology providers, installers, and industry stakeholders for the National Solar Technology & Service Upgrade Summit on March 27 at the Gallery 7 Design Center in San Juan. The event highlighted emerging technologies, market trends, and service initiatives shaping the country’s solar sector.
The event brought together key partners including Aiko, SolaX, and LuxPower, with discussions centered on improving system performance, expanding solar adoption, and strengthening after-sales support in an increasingly competitive market.

In her opening remarks, Power Ai Philippines Sales and Engineering Director Engr. Charming Medina said the summit aimed to explore “different market trends and technologies towards clean energy.”
She added that the Philippine solar industry is becoming more competitive, noting that “The solar industry is very much competitive, not only in the pricing, but as well as in technology and service quality.”
Amongst the key trends discussed was the growing shift toward high-efficiency systems and hybrid solar setups paired with battery storage, which speakers noted are becoming more and more essential for improving efficiency and maximizing returns.
Medina stressed this transition, stating that “Solar installations paired with battery storage are now setting the new market benchmark.”
The expansion of both residential and commercial and industrial (CNI) rooftop installations was also highlighted, alongside the need for solutions that go beyond pricing and focus on long-term performance and service support.
Technology providers at the summit showcased their latest offerings to address these demands. Aiko, represented by Ayden Cheong, presented its high-efficiency solar panel technologies designed to improve power generation and durability through continued research and development.
SolaX, through Engr. Lito Rosales, showcased its range of inverters and energy storage systems for residential to commercial applications.
LuxPower’s Elix Huang introduced the company’s integrated energy ecosystem approach, positioning its solutions as more than standalone products.
“Our goal is not simply to sell product, but to build a sustainable and vivid ecosystem, where distributors can grow their business, installers can work efficiently and users can enjoy reliable green power,” Huang said.
Beyond technology, the summit underscored the importance of strengthening local support systems to sustain industry growth. Power Ai Philippines announced plans to roll out nationwide technical service centers aimed at improving response times for repairs, warranty claims, and technical concerns.
Explaining the initiative, Medina said, “The goal of this is to give the fastest response and the most reliable one.”
The company is also implementing training programs and certification initiatives for partners and installers to ensure consistent service quality across its network.
Additional initiatives include a solar upgrade and expansion program designed to modernize existing installations into hybrid systems, as well as solutions targeting commercial and utility-scale projects to improve operational efficiency.
As the industry continues to evolve, how quickly can these innovations and support systems translate into more accessible and reliable solar solutions for Filipino consumers?
