AG&P eyeing to work with PNOC for Bat – Man natural gas project

The Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific Co. (AG&P) is looking to work with the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) as it sets focus on larger scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities, its top official said.

The company is interested in working with the government in building the Batangas – Manila (Bat – Man) natural gas pipeline project natural gas pipeline, AG&P chairman Jose Leviste said.

“We’d like to work with PNOC. We’re not competing with anyone…We are just interested in constructing almost everything. We’re ready to partner with others,” he said, adding that the company wants to be involved in the country’s infrastructure program.

Leviste said that AG&P will be constructing any kind of LNG facility.

“We used to be a modular company. What we’re doing is build [LNG solutions] and we send to sa Siberia, northern Australia. Now we want to be an LNG company,” he said.

Just this year, AG&P introduced a “bite – sized” LNG solution to provide supply chain for local and regional developers eyeing to build small – scale LNG projects.

The PNOC is the government’s corporate arm tasked to explore, develop and utilize indigenous oil and non – oil energy sources.
