Philippines to host 5th Power Southeast Asia Conference in January

The Philippines is set to host the 5th Power Southeast Asia Conference in January 2017 to talk about the comprehensive exploration of power projects in the region.

Executives of over 30 power and energy utilities across Southeast Asia will participate in the conference.

The Philippines is eyeing a “happy balance” in the energy mix and aims to attract more investors in the power industry.

This year’s PSEA will tackle various comprehensive programs for the country’s update on its clean energy master plan, the outlook of coal and gas power in the region’s market, developments of both renewable energy and coal power in the region, and panel discussions on RE developers and investors.

Among the attending power companies include: Aboitiz Power, Energy Development Corporation, First Gen Corporation and PNOC Renewables Corporation.

Meanwhile, international speakers include: Akira Miyamoto, the executive director of Osaka Gas Co Ltd.; Sarah Fairhurst of the Lantau Group (HK) Limited; Peter Bird of the Rothschiled Limited in Singapore; and Ashish Sethia, South and Southeast Asia head of Bloomberg New Energy Finance.

PSEA 2017 is set to take its grounds at the Solaire Resort and Casino on January 12 to 13, 2017 in partnership with the Independent Power Producers Forum, Navigant Research, and IPPAI.
