Nine oil companies have committed to providing fuel discounts to help cushion the impact of global price volatility on Filipino motorists, the Department of Energy (DOE) announced Monday.
DOE Officer-in-Charge Sharon S. Garin said the initiative supports President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s call to alleviate the burden of rising oil prices on Filipino families.
Motorists—particularly drivers of Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs), Transport Network Vehicles (TNVs), and private vehicles—can expect discounts from Petron, Shell, Caltex, Seaoil, Phoenix, PTT, Jetti, Clean Fuel, and Petro Gazz.
Shell, Seaoil, and Phoenix have also extended their discount programs to include TNV drivers.
“Kami sa DOE ay nagpapasalamat sa mga kumpanya ng langis sa malaking tulong sa ating mga motorista sa pamamagitan ng kanilang mga diskwento. Patuloy ang aming pakikipag-ugnayan sa kanila upang mas dumami pa ang mga participating gas stations,” said OIC Garin.
Each oil firm will implement its own discount mechanisms—including specific implementation dates, promotional offers, and loyalty programs. The DOE emphasized that while rates may vary, motorists can expect meaningful relief at participating stations.
The full list of participating stations and their corresponding discounts will be published on the DOE website and Facebook page. The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will also receive the complete list.
This comes alongside DOE’s projected fuel price rollback on July 1, estimated at PHP 1.70 per liter for gasoline, PHP 2.20 for diesel, and PHP 2.30 for kerosene.
The DOE stressed that lower fuel costs will reduce daily expenses and allow drivers to retain more of their earnings, directly easing household financial pressure.
