First-Ever Floating Solar Live Demo in PH Set for August 15 in Cavinti, Laguna

The Philippines will hold its first live demonstration of floating solar technology on August 15, 2025, at Chandava Lake Resort in Cavinti, Laguna. The event is part of the Floating Solar PV Installation & Material Optimization Seminar, a full-day program led by Power AI Philippines to boost the capabilities of local solar professionals.

Running from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the seminar will gather engineers, EPC firms, installers, and renewable energy advocates to learn how floating solar can help address land constraints and meet the country’s rising electricity demand.

Participants will witness a live installation demonstration of floating photovoltaic technology and take part in hands-on training focused on advanced mounting systems and materials. The program will also cover strategies to improve installation efficiency and reduce project costs.

The registration fee of PHP1,000 includes seminar access, morning and afternoon snacks, lunch, exclusive merchandise, and a PHP1,000 voucher.

Floating photovoltaic systems are gaining traction worldwide for their ability to maximize space by using lakes, reservoirs, and other water bodies. They can reduce water evaporation and improve energy output due to cooler operating temperatures. For the Philippines, where land competition and climate challenges are pressing concerns, floating solar offers a promising path to accelerate renewable energy adoption.

The event is organized by Power AI Philippines, a solar distribution and solutions company that provides high-quality solar panels, inverters, and energy storage systems, along with floating PV arrays and specialized mounting systems. The company offers engineering, procurement, and after-sales support, helping local installers adapt to evolving market needs while ensuring safety, sustainability, and innovation.

Power Philippines, the country’s leading energy news platform, is the official media partner for the seminar. With its extensive industry reach, Power Philippines will spotlight the event’s role in advancing the nation’s clean energy transition.
