Berde Renewables is solidifying its position as one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing renewable energy developers, winning multiple accolades while advancing a pipeline of landmark projects across the Philippines and Thailand.
At the recent Solar Week PH 2025 Leadership Awards, Berde Renewables earned four top honors, including Solar Company of the Year: Developer, validating its leadership in driving clean energy adoption in commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors. The company also received the Best Solar Project Deal Award for its groundbreaking joint venture in Thailand and the 8.4 MWp solar agreements in Mindanao.
Two internal divisions—the Commercial & Development Division and the Asset Operations Division—won Team Excellence Awards for their contributions to business growth and engineering design.
“We are honored to be recognized as a financially strong, impact-driven company trusted by industry leaders. This award reflects the strength of our business model and our role in accelerating the clean energy transition in the Philippines and beyond,” said Patrick Zhu, president and co-founder of Berde Renewables.
Backing its growth with the support of global infrastructure investor I Squared Capital, Berde has expanded its footprint with 47 MW of awarded projects in the Philippines, 31 MW under construction, and a 210 MW active pipeline.
Its expansion includes a strategic partnership with Power Systems and Solutions Co. Ltd. (PSS) to co-develop 300 MW of solar projects in Thailand over the next three years. This partnership has already delivered innovative projects, including a 2.5 MWp floating solar installation for HV Fila, a global leader in natural rubber manufacturing, and a 999.9 kWp rooftop system for a poultry processing facility in Hat Yai, Songkhla, Thailand.
“These projects are a testament to our commitment to delivering high-impact, zero-CAPEX solar solutions that provide real savings and sustainability benefits to our clients,” said Philip Roxas, Commercial Director at Berde Renewables.
In the Philippines, Berde’s approach integrates partnerships with landowners, developers, and commercial businesses to deliver sustainable energy without upfront costs. Its projects have generated over 500 jobs and spanned Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, while bolstering grid resilience and cost competitiveness for energy consumers. This year, the company strengthened ties with the Department of Energy, the Board of Investments, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, reflecting its commitment to inclusive energy development.
Berde’s rapid project execution and award-winning innovations underscore a growing momentum in the Philippines’ renewable energy transition, and its recent recognitions highlight the potential for cross-border renewable partnerships in the region.
