Vice President of Engineering of solar provider Buskowitz Group Amando Lanuza was named as the first electrical engineer in the Philippines to be certified as a Renewable Energy Expert Professional (CREX) by the Marvelous Solar Division of the MEPF Organization of the Philippines, Inc.
With this certification, Buskowitz Group hopes “to be able to educate, contribute, and help the Philippines achieve a low-carbon future.”
“We are thrilled to have a renewable energy expert guide us through all our projects and initiatives,” the solar firm added.
Engineer Lanuza is a veteran of various commercial solar rooftops and solar farms in the country. He spearheaded Buskowitz Group’s 84 projects in 25 provinces around the Philippines, which include: three branches of John B. Lacson University in IloIlo, Bacolod, and Arevalo; six branches of Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp; Expo Home Depot in Zamboanga and the Universidad de Zamboanga; Sunmoon Fruits Inc. in Binondo, Manila; Santi’s Delicatessen; De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, and many more.
Other notable on-going projects he is working on are the six sites of the North Luzon Expressway Corporation in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental; Robinsons Malls in Pavia and Jaro, IloIlo; and OLMECS and Company Development Corporation in Katipunan, North Cotabato.
“As more innovations and standards in the renewable energy industry are created, both
locally and internationally, we hope to not only be able to keep up, but also continue to change the game of how we provide sustainable solutions for fellow Filipinos,” Lanuza said.
He was a former regional governor of the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines.
He also became a Municipal Electrical Engineer in the local government unit in 1999, where he was instrumental in the implementation of PEC provisions and R.A. 7920 with regards to the permits and inspection of electrical installations in the region with the help of the IEE Sosogon Chapter.
