Aboitiz Power has secured a pivotal four-year contract with NoBia Inc., the backbone of Max’s group of restaurants. This partnership will see Aboitiz meeting the power needs of NoBia’s food manufacturing and distribution centers situated in Carmona, Cavite.
In a report by Manila Bulletin, the power supply agreement specifies a capacity delivery of 1,200 kilowatts or 1.2-megawatt capacity supporting The Max’s restaurant networks like Pancake House, Yellow Cab Pizza Co., and Krispy Kreme.
NoBia President Cristina Garcia said that this deal not only serves countless Filipino individuals with culinary offerings but also contributes significantly to the culinary firm’s mission.
Aboitiz Power Retail Head James Byron Yu expressed that their company is privileged to support NoBia’s commitment to service excellence in food manufacturing and distribution with clean and reliable energy.
In alignment with the Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) policy, businesses like Max’s group are empowered to choose their electricity suppliers, promoting a competitive landscape in the Philippines’ power sector.
Although the specific Aboitiz power plant supplying electricity to Max’s requirements remains undisclosed, sources confirm that the energy will be sourced from their portfolio of renewable energy (RE) assets.
Meanwhile, the agreed off-take (purchase) price remains undisclosed.
