Aboitiz Power Corp. (AboitizPower) has been recognized at the first INQ ESG Edge Impact Awards 2025. The company took home gold and silver distinctions for governance and community relations, respectively.

The company received the gold award for Governance, Reporting, and Transparency, cited for its effective corporate governance systems, sustainability performance tracking and audit, and strong transparency practices.

AboitizPower also won a silver award for Relations with Local Communities. This was rewarded in recognition of its sitio electrification initiatives in Davao City- carried out by its distribution utility, Davao Light and Power Company.

Executives of AboitizPower accepted the awards at the ceremony alongside representatives of the Inquirer Group of Companies, which organized the inaugural recognition program highlighting excellence in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.

As one of the country’s largest power producers with a large portfolio of renewable and thermal assets, AboitizPower said the awards affirm its commitment to transparency, accountability, and community development as it grows its role in the Philippine energy sector.
