ACEN RES Honored with 2025 REM Asia Award for Clean Energy Leadership

AEON Center in Alabang Transitions to 100% Renewable Energy With ACEN RES

ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions (ACEN RES), the retail electricity supply arm of Ayala-led ACEN, has been awarded with the 2025 Renewable Energy Markets™ (REM) Asia Award, in recognition of its role in advancing renewable energy adoption in the Philippines, as reported in an article on the ACEN Renewables website.

The award, presented by the U.S.-based Center for Resource Solutions (CRS), was given during a ceremony at the Sofitel Singapore City Centre. ACEN’s Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for Philippine Operations, Miguel de Jesus, personally accepted the award on behalf of the company.

ACEN RES was recognized for helping Philippine businesses transition to renewable energy through participation in government programs such as the Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA), the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP), and the Retail Aggregation Program (RAP).

According to the Energy Regulatory Commission’s January 2025 Competitive Retail Electricity Market (CREM) report, ACEN RES currently holds about a 50% market share within the GEOP, establishing it as the country’s leading supplier of green energy.

In 2024, ACEN RES helped avoid approximately 970,270.63 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO₂e) through its renewable energy supply to customers—showcasing its impact on the country’s sustainability efforts.

The REM Asia Award adds to the company’s recent accolades, which include multiple Stevie Awards from the International Business Awards, an Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of the Philippines, and an Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Communications award from the Agora Awards.
