ACEN restructures PHP 17.5B LandBank credit facility

ACEN Corporation has restructured PHP 17.5 billion of its existing PHP 20 billion credit facility with the Land Bank of the Philippines, originally signed in November 2023. In a disclosure filed today with the Philippine Stock Exchange, the company said it executed two new agreements with LandBank—a PHP 8-billion Loan Agreement and a PHP 9.5-billion Credit Facility—effectively reallocating the remaining balance of the 2023 credit line.

While the disclosure did not specify exact allocations, the move underscores ACEN’s strategic financial planning and the continued role of government-backed financing in supporting the Philippines’ renewable energy transition.

ACEN’s renewable energy portfolio totals approximately 7 GW of attributable capacity, comprising 3.6 GW currently operational, 2.6 GW under construction, and 823 MW in committed projects.

Ongoing expansions include the 133 MW Cagayan North Solar project in Cagayan and the 116 MW Arayat-Mexico Solar project in Pampanga, several of which integrate battery storage for enhanced grid stability.

ACEN is also advancing offshore wind with a 25% stake in a 1,000 MW project developed with Danish firm Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. Regional projects in Zambales, Bataan, and Ilocos are further expanding the company’s footprint.
