ACEN, the Ayala group’s listed renewable energy company, has been named among the winners of the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia Awards 2025, while also securing the Sustainable Workplace Award, a distinction reserved for only a handful of organizations each year.
The recognition was announced at the awarding ceremony held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Manila, where ACEN stood alongside 48 other corporations from various industries, including fellow Ayala firms Globe Telecom, GCash, and Ayala Property Management Corporation.
Now a two-time winner of the Best Companies to Work for in Asia Award, ACEN was cited for its strong workplace culture, outstanding HR practices, and high levels of employee engagement. The company’s inclusion in the Sustainable Workplace category further emphasized its leadership in promoting environmental responsibility, sustainability, and eco-innovation in the workplace.
The awards were determined through the Total Engagement Assessment Model (TEAM) survey, which gathered feedback from ACEN employees across its offices and operating units. An audit presentation highlighted the company’s advancements in HR practices, including its HR Centers of Excellence, business partner model, shared services, and the implementation of a new digital myHR system in 2024.
JP Orbeta, ACEN Chief Human Resources Officer, said the recognition reflects the company’s values and the collective strength of its workforce. “These awards are a powerful affirmation of our belief that together, we unlock more—for ourselves, our communities, and our planet. To be recognized as one of Asia’s best workplaces for the second consecutive year, and now as a sustainable workplace, tells us that our people feel valued, empowered, and inspired to drive meaningful change,” he said.
Orbeta added that ACEN will continue to create an environment where employees can thrive, innovate, and play an active role in the company’s mission to lead the energy transition with purpose.
