Alternergy Receives Country’s Largest Wind Towers in Milestone Delivery

Alternergy Holdings Corp’s (ALTER) Alabat Wind Project in Quezon Province is set to become a landmark in the country’s clean energy push, as the first units of its record-breaking 8 MW wind turbines have arrived on the island.
Renewable energy pioneer ALTER, through its subsidiary Alabat Wind Power Corporation (AWPC), received the first two 8 MW wind turbines for the 64 MW Alabat Wind Project. The turbines were delivered by ocean barge to the jetty constructed by Alternergy on Alabat Island.
Manufactured by Envision Energy, these turbines feature three blades, each 90 meters long, giving a total wingspan of 182 meters. Once assembled, the towers will stand at a maximum height of 195 meters, comparable to the RCBC Plaza or the Ayala Triangle Garden North buildings in Makati City.
