Alternergy Holdings Corporation and the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) have signed an agreement to connect Alternergy’s wind power project to the grid.

In a report by Inquirer, the interconnection between Alabat Wind Power Corporation (AWPC)

, an Alternergy subsidiary, and the 69 kV Hondagua transmission line would provide cleaner electricity to Lopez, Quezon.

Alternergy President Gerry Magbanua noted that the grid operator has provided the power project with an interconnection approach that is highly efficient and adaptable to ensure timely completion.

Magbanua added that this agreement was a significant milestone for the wind power project, ensuring that it would fulfill its obligation to supply energy through the Green Energy Auction Program (GEAP).
