In an article by Kaohoon International, B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (BGRIM) has announced the acquisition of a 97% stake in Caronsi Solar Energy Corporation, a Philippine-based company developing a 65-megawatt solar photovoltaic (PV) power project in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Province, Northern Luzon. The investment, amounting to PHP 200 million (approximately THB 118.52 million), was originally disclosed to the Stock Exchange of Thailand on May 26, 2025.
The project has secured a 25-year (renewable) solar energy operating contract with the Department of Energy, granting it the right to dispatch and sell solar-generated output. Additionally, it holds a 25-year (renewable) land lease and has obtained all necessary permits and licenses, including the Board of Investments (BOI) Green Lane certification, indicating its readiness for development and construction.
Commercial operations are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2027. This marks B.Grimm Power’s second utility-scale solar power plant in the Philippines, reflecting the company’s strategic expansion in the ASEAN region’s renewable energy sector.
The investment aligns with B.Grimm Power’s commitment to sustainable growth and the global energy transition, aiming to meet the Philippines’ significant electricity demand through clean energy solutions.
