Buy-now-pay-later platform Billease has collaborated with solar provider Blueshift Energy to launch Solar EasyPace, a new financing program aimed at making solar panel systems more affordable for Filipino households.

The initiative addresses one of the biggest barriers to solar adoption in the country–high upfront costs. Through the Solar EasyPace program, customers can install solar power systems without a down payment and pay over a 12-month period with monthly interest rates as low as 2.42%, Billease said in its company website.

Solar EasyPace was created as an inclusive financing solution tailored to the average Filipino family. The program features a decreasing interest structure, which eases the long-term financial burden on customers. It also marks Billease’s first foray into the clean energy space.

According to Billease’s Head of Point-of-Sale Product Kurt Molina, the partnership reflects the company’s goal to support sustainability while expanding its offerings to more sectors.

Meanwhile, Blueshift Energy CEO Kristofer Huang emphasized that the program empowers more Filipinos to take charge of their energy future by removing the bothersome financial hurdles.

“Now that we have this cooperation with Billease, we empower more families to take control of their energy future. We’ve never seen ways for people to take control of their own power until now, and Billease is helping accelerate our mission of solar adoption for all,” Huang said in a statement published in Billease’s website.

The launch comes at a time when ever-rising electricity prices continue to push Filipino consumers to explore alternative energy options. However, the cost of equipment and installation has always kept solar technology out of reach for many households. Solar EasyPace aims to bridge that gap by simplifying financing and offering more accessible payment terms.
