The Luzon Grid will be placed on Yellow Alert today, April 12 from 1 PM to 3 PM, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said.
In a statement, NGCP said that the yellow alert was due to “the unexpected shutdown and limited generation of some power plants”
Currently, the Luzon Grid’s available capacity stands at 10, 740 megawatts (MW) while the peak demand went up to as much as 9, 654 MW.
