The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines has put the Luzon grid under Red Alert on April 10 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., continuing at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. due to insufficient operating reserve.
Yellow Alert was declared a while ago from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A total of 827 MW capacity is on planned outage as of today.
Participating corporation and commercial establishments under the Interruptible Load Program (ILP) are ready to use their generator sets to help minimize or prevent incidents of power outage.
