EcoFlow expands to Southeast Asia with Philippine launch of PowerOcean

EcoFlow, a global provider of eco-friendly energy solutions, has launched the PowerOcean Single-Phase system in the Philippines, marking its official entry into the Southeast Asian home energy storage market.

The launch comes amid rising demand for residential energy independence in the country, where electricity costs remain among the highest in the region and power interruptions continue to affect households—particularly in remote and island communities.

Designed to meet these local challenges, the PowerOcean integrates solar panels, battery storage, and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven energy management to provide stable, cost-efficient, and sustainable power for homes.

EcoFlow said PowerOcean can help households reduce electricity bills by optimizing power use through its time-of-use (TOU) scheduling system. The AI algorithm automatically determines when to charge, discharge, or export electricity based on real-time power prices, weather forecasts, and each home’s consumption patterns.

The inverter supports up to 12 kW of solar input and enables 95% depth of discharge, maximizing usable battery capacity. In Europe, homes using PowerOcean achieved up to 77.8% annual electricity cost reductions, according to EcoFlow data.

The PowerOcean system is designed for scalability, starting at 5 kWh and expandable to 15 kWh with plug-and-play compatibility. It operates at a 0.67 C discharge rate, allowing multiple household appliances to run simultaneously.

Each unit is powered by CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells rated for 6,000 charge cycles—equivalent to more than 10 years of daily use. EcoFlow backs the product with an industry-leading 10-year warranty, ensuring long-term reliability for homeowners.

The PowerOcean system is IP65-rated for weather resistance and includes a Battery Management System (BMS) that monitors each cell in real time to detect and manage potential safety issues.

Users can monitor and control their systems through the EcoFlow app, which provides live data on energy generation, consumption, and savings forecasts. The system also supports voice commands via an AI assistant for hands-free operation.

Following its successful rollout in Germany and the UK, where it received the German Innovation Award and German Design Award, EcoFlow is bringing PowerOcean to Southeast Asia to meet the region’s growing need for smarter, integrated home energy systems.

The PowerOcean Single-Phase system became available in the Philippines starting October 30, with users able to register on EcoFlow’s official website for free quotations.
