First Gen subsidiary fined by PEMC for Casecnan hydro compliance issues

First River Lakes Corp. (FRLC), a subsidiary of First Gen Corporation, has received two penalty notices from the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation (PEMC) for compliance issues related to the operation of the 165-megawatt Casecnan Hydroelectric Power Plant in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija.
In a disclosure to the Securities and Exchange Commission dated October 20, 2025, First Gen said FRLC was fined PHP 70,000 for non-compliance with the Rule on Market Suspension for the Offered Capacity covering the September 2025 billing period. The company was also cited for non-compliance with the Offered Capacity Compliance Standards for the Casecnan facility.
The disclosure did not indicate any operational disruptions or further sanctions related to the penalties. FRLC continues to operate the Casecnan plant, which supplies renewable power to the Luzon grid.
