GEA-4 Moves Forward with DOE Releasing List of Eligible Bidders

The Department of Energy (DOE) has released the official list of Qualified Bidders for the Green Energy Auction Round 4 (GEA-4), reaffirming their commitment to scaling up the country’s renewable energy capacity and ensuring grid reliability.

GEA-4 covers the development of solar, solar integrated with energy storage systems (IRESS), and onshore wind projects. These technologies are seen as pivotal parts of the Philippines’ clean energy transition.

The DOE said the evaluation process followed strict guidelines to ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance. Qualified companies were selected based on their technical, legal, and financial capacity to participate in the auction and contribute to national energy targets.

As part of the auction process, a virtual pre-bid conference for all Qualified Bidders is scheduled for July 28, 2025, at 9:00 AM. The online session will provide guidance on bidding procedures and requirements, with access details sent directly to each Qualified Bidder’s authorized representative.

GEA-4 is part of the government’s broader strategy to promote competitive renewable energy procurement and fast-track the integration of green capacity into the national grid. The program is aimed at achieving a more affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy supply for Filipinos.

The full list of Qualified Bidders is available on the DOE website.
