Green GSM has signed an agreement with Xentro Group’s AMRC Renewable Corp./Xentro Motors for the supply of 2,000 VinFast electric vehicles (EVs) to support the expansion of its all-electric ride-hailing service in the Philippines.
The memorandum of understanding, signed on October 9, covers the delivery of VinFast Nerio Green units, with 1,000 vehicles already secured and the rest scheduled for delivery within two years. The fleet will operate under the “Green Xentro powered by Green GSM” brand across Metro Manila and major cities, once all regulatory and accreditation requirements are met.
Green GSM, part of the GSM ecosystem, began rolling out its all-electric ride-hailing operations in the country earlier this year. The company said it is adopting a partner-based approach to expand its fleet while ensuring compliance with local transport rules.
Under the partnership, Xentro Motors will use its nationwide Xentro Malls network to host pick-up zones, parking areas, and EV charging stations to support fleet operations. The collaboration will also tap VinFast’s service ecosystem for maintenance, charging, and driver support.
“We are honored to partner with Green GSM in bringing all-electric ride-hailing closer to Filipino communities,” said Noel M. Ignacio, CEO of Xentro Motors. “This collaboration reflects our belief that sustainability and progress can go hand in hand. By integrating electric mobility into our ecosystem, we aim to support the country’s long-term transport modernization goals and enhance daily commutes for users.”
Dao Quy Phi, Managing Director of Green GSM Southeast Asia, said, “This partnership with Xentro Motors marks another important step in our regional journey. Green GSM always welcomes and creates favorable conditions for local businesses to collaborate on the GSM platform… Xentro is the first of such valued partners in the Philippines.”
