Greenergy Solutions Inc. (GSI) has been issued clearances to conduct studies on five large-scale solar farms in north and central Luzon, data from the Department of Energy (DOE) showed.
The Filipino-owned renewables firm will conduct a study on all solar farms with a total capacity of 450 megawatts (MW).
These include the 50-MW solar farm in Cordon, the 100-MW solar project in Ilagan, and the 125-MW solar facility in Sta. Maria. All three are located in the Isabela province.
Also included are the 125-MW solar farm in Talugtug, Nueva Ecija and the 50-MW solar project in Capas, Tarlac.
The company has already secured renewable energy service contracts from the DOE for its eight solar projects lined up, with a combined capacity of 700 MW.
