Vantage Energy, a retail electricity supplier affiliated with Meralco, has widened its regional influence by entering into a power supply agreement with Bohol Quality Corporation (BQC), the operator of the long-established BQ Mall in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

The agreement marks Vantage Energy’s first commercial venture in the province. Under the deal, the company will provide BQ Mall with reliable and competitively priced electricity, thus supporting BQC’s long-term operational goals and modernization efforts. The partnership showcases both firms’ shared commitment to energy efficiency, sustainability, and service excellence.

“This energy partnership ensures tradition and exceptional service with improved reliability and sustainability,” said BQC President Raymund G. Ong. “As this marks Vantage Energy’s first venture in our province, we look forward to the growth, innovation, and opportunities our partnership will bring.”

Founded in 1945, BQC has long been a foundational establishment of Bohol’s retail sector. Over the decades, it has adapted to changing consumer demands while remaining rooted in community service. The collaboration with Vantage Energy aims to enhance the mall’s energy reliability while contributing to more efficient and sustainable operations.

Vantage Energy President Ernesto M. Cabral stressed the significance of the partnership as a unification of values between the two organizations. “By combining Vantage Energy’s expertise in energy solutions with Bohol Quality Corporation’s leadership in its field, we are creating a platform for meaningful impact- not only for our companies, but also for the communities we serve and industries we support,” he stated.

Licensed by the Energy Regulatory Commission in 2017, Vantage Energy is Meralco’s first affiliate retail electricity supplier. The company offers tailored electricity and energy solutions to contestable customers across the country.
