The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) switched on its high-tech substation, dedicated to cater to the energy demands of locators at Robinsons Land Corporation’s Bridgetowne IT Park and Township.
According to an Inquirer report, Meralco described the energy facility as one of the most technologically advanced power infrastructures in the country, having an integrated and fully automated gas-insulated switchgear substation.
Meralco also stated that the new Bridgetowne Substation, which had an initial capacity of 83 mega volt-ampere, was designed to operate over modern networking technologies to perform monitoring, metering, real-time protection and control.
“The Bridgetowne substation will definitely improve dependability and reliability of electricity service in the Bridgetowne community and surrounding growth areas,” Meralco Senior Vice President Ronnie Aperocho was quoted as saying in the report.
