MPower, the retail electricity arm of Manila Electric Company (Meralco), has renewed its partnership with Okada Manila to ensure continued reliable power for the luxury resort’s 30-hectare property in Parañaque City.

The agreement was formalized in a signing ceremony on August 19, 2025. It was attended by MPower Head Redel M. Domingo, MPower Retail Sales Head Eddie John V. Adug, Okada Manila President and Chief Operating Officer Byron Yip, and Managing Director Mitsukazu Nakata

Okada Manila, which first tapped MPower as its retail electricity supplier in 2020, has relied on the company to help meet its growing energy demands. The resort, home to hotel suites, entertainment venues, and gaming floors, emphasized that reliable and sustainable energy is crucial to maintaining its five-star guest experience.

“Reliable and sustainable energy is critical to delivering the seamless, five-star experience our guests expect at Okada Manila. MPower has been a trusted partner in helping us achieve operational efficiency and environmental responsibility,” said Yip.

Domingo, meanwhile, commended Okada Manila for choosing a competitive supplier and advancing its sustainability journey. “MPower is proud to power progress for the hospitality industry and this partnership is a testament to how collaboration can drive both economic growth and environmental stewardship,” he said.

MPower serves contestable customers, including top corporations within Meralco’s franchise area, and currently holds more than 25% of the competitive retail electricity market share.
