NexGen Energy posts PHP 7.36-million profit in first nine months of 2025

NexGen Energy Corp. reported a PHP 7.36-million net income for the nine months ending September 30, 2025. This is slightly lower than last year’s PHP 9.63 million, as electricity sales declined over the period.

Revenues reached PHP 64.3 million, down from PHP 99 million in 2024, while operating expenses remained steady at PHP 11.4 million. The company said lower interest expenses, at PHP 6.1 million from PHP 7.5 million last year, helped offset weaker sales performance.

NexGen’s total assets stood at PHP 1.65 billion as of September, with equity rising slightly to PHP 799 million. The company’s cash position improved sharply to PHP 84.4 million from PHP 9.5 million at the start of the year, supported by financing inflows.

Its subsidiaries – including SPARC, which operates solar plants in Bataan, Bulacan, and Zambales, and Airstream Renewables, which manages wind energy contracts – continue to focus on expanding renewable generation.

NexGen said it remains committed to growing its clean energy portfolio while managing costs and improving operational efficiency to sustain post-IPO growth.

Can NexGen’s renewed focus on efficiency and project expansion strengthen its position in the renewable energy sector?
