Pueblo de Oro Development Boosts Township Sustainability with 200 kWp Solar Rollout

Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation (PDO) has tapped August Energy NetZero Inc., a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, to install nearly 200 kilowatt-peak (kWp) of solar panels across its developments in Cagayan de Oro and Batangas.

The installations will include rooftop and ground-mounted systems for the Pueblo Golf clubhouse, The Hub commercial center, and Westwoods Village in Cagayan de Oro. In Malvar, Batangas, solar panels will be set up at the Pueblo de Oro Townscapes Sales Office.

“We believe sustainable development is not just about building homes, but also about fostering safe and resilient communities,” said Prim Nolido, President and COO of Pueblo de Oro. “This partnership with August Energy NetZero Inc. is a natural extension of our mission to integrate renewable energy into our operations and uplift the communities we serve.”

PDO previously installed solar panels at the Bag Drop Building of Pueblo Golf and at Townsquare in Lapu-Lapu City. The company has also donated solar panel systems and solar-powered streetlights to barangays in Malvar and Batangas City.

August Energy NetZero, which specializes in solar and energy efficiency solutions, will serve as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partner for the rollout.

The deal supports PDO’s broader goal of embedding sustainability across its residential and commercial projects. The company has township developments in high-growth areas like Cagayan de Oro, Malvar, Lipa, San Fernando, Carcar, and Lapu-Lapu City.

PDO has earned recognition for its commitment to affordable, master-planned communities and now seeks to make renewable energy a defining feature of its brand.
