Raslag Corp. has entered its first wind energy venture through an international joint initiative with Singapore-based Verdant Energy, formalized on May 15, 2025. The agreement, announced via Raslag Corp.’s official Facebook page, marks the acquisition of Philippine Hybrid Energy Systems, Inc. (PHESI) — one of the country’s earliest renewable hybrid energy developers.
The transaction covers the operation and optimization of a 16MW wind farm supported by a 7.306MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), forming one of the Philippines’ pioneering hybrid renewable energy projects. The facility includes eight wind turbine generators and represents an early model for integrated renewable infrastructure in the archipelago.
This partnership marks Raslag’s expansion beyond solar as it works toward its goal of achieving 1,000MW in renewable energy capacity by 2035. For Verdant Energy, the move underscores its confidence in Raslag’s capabilities, following a rigorous due diligence process.
“This groundbreaking partnership highlights Verdant Energy’s confidence in Raslag’s technical capabilities, greenfield development expertise, and strong operational track record,” Raslag said in its announcement. “Following a thorough due diligence process, Verdant selected Raslag as its local partner — a meaningful endorsement that reflects trust, strategic alignment, and a shared commitment to sustainable growth.”
Verdant has also expressed interest in further investments in Raslag-led projects, signaling long-term engagement in the Philippine energy transition. Industry watchers will note this deal as a key milestone for hybrid RE scale-up in the country, potentially drawing more international capital into the sector.
