According to the NGCP, the available capacity of the grid is at 14,249 MW while the peak demand is at 13,475 MW.
However, the Luzon grid remains to be under yellow alert from 4:00PM to 11:00PM.

JUST IN | The National Grid Corporation in the Philippines declared a Red Alert for the Luzon and Visayas grid and a Yellow Alert for the Mindanao grid Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 8:00AM.
In the Luzon grid, the available capacity is at 14,241MW while the peak demand is at 13,643 MW. According to the NGCP, four plants has been on forced outage since 2023, and between January and March of 2024, and 12 since April 2024. Two are running on derated capacities, with a total of 1,840.3MW unavailable to the grid.
The red alert would take effect from 3:00PM to 4:00PM. A Yellow Alert will also be implented from 1:00PM to 3:00PM and 4:00PM to 10:00PM.
Meanwhile, for the Visayas grid, the available capacity is at 2,462MW and the peak demand was at 2,525MW. One plant have been on forced outage since 2022, two since 2023, two between January and March 2024, and fifteen since April 2024. Eight have been running on derated capacities, with a total of 621.6MW unavailable to the grid.
The Red Alert for Visayas would take effect from 12:00NN to 5:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM. While a yellow alert will be implemented from 10:00AM to 12:00NN, 5:00PM to 6:00PM, and 8:00PM to 9:00PM.
For the Mindanao grid, the available capacity is at 2,761MW while the peak demand is at 2,614MW. Nine plants have been on forced outage since April 2024 while five are running on derated capacities, with a total of 673.98MW unavailable to the grid.
The Yellow alert for the Mindanao grid would take effect from 10:00AM to 4:00PM.
