SPNEC advances MTerra Solar with new EPC contracts

SP New Energy Corp. (SPNEC), formerly Solar Philippines Nueva Ecija Corp., announced significant progress on its PHP 200-billion MTerra Solar Project with the execution of two key engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, according to an SEC Form 17-C filed on October 23, 2025.

The contracts cover the South Block of the project, a 1,050 MWp solar farm paired with a 1.2 GWh battery energy storage system in Central Luzon. The onshore EPC deal was awarded to GEDI Construction Development Corp., while the offshore contract was secured with China Energy International Group Co. Ltd. and China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co. Ltd. These agreements include provisions for warranty, defect resolution, and long-term maintenance to ensure the project’s operational success.

The MTerra Solar Project aims to develop a total 3,500 MWp solar capacity with 4,500 MWhr of storage. SPNEC, based at Rockwell Business Center in Pasig City, highlighted that the disclosure contains forward-looking statements subject to risks and uncertainties that could affect the company’s plans, with outcomes potentially differing from those expressed.
