Unioil and Aramco seal partnership after 25% equity acquisition

Unioil Petroleum Philippines, Inc. has entered a new chapter in its growth after Aramco, one of the world’s largest integrated energy companies, completed its 25% equity acquisition in the local fuel firm.

The partnership strengthens Unioil’s fuel supply security and positions the company for expansion in both retail and wholesale markets. It also spotlights growing investor confidence in the Philippine energy sector.

Aramco’s entry will provide Unioil access to the global energy leader’s expertise in refining, supply, and logistics, which ensures a more stable and efficient fuel supply chain for local consumers.

Unioil President Kenneth C. Pundanera said the partnership aligns with the company’s vision to become the “fuel retailer of choice” in the country. “Aramco’s investment marks a new milestone for Unioil as we continue to focus on growth, innovation, and customer service,” he stated.

Unioil CEO Janice Co Roxas-Chua welcomed Aramco as a strategic partner and emphasized the company’s renewed commitment to cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions.

The collaboration is expected to boost Unioil’s operations, enhance its service offerings, and contribute to the government’s broader goals of energy security and economic development.

By combining Unioil’s local market experience with Aramco’s international capabilities, both companies aim to deliver more reliable and innovative energy solutions for Filipino consumers.
