VinFast Philippines has announced that customers will enjoy free nationwide electric vehicle (EV) charging until May 1, 2027, under a partnership with independent charging provider V-GREEN, the Daily Tribune reports.
The program covers all V-GREEN-operated charging ports nationwide and applies to both existing and future VinFast models sold in the Philippines. The company said the initiative is intended to reduce one of the biggest hurdles for EV adoption: the cost of charging compared with conventional fuel.
“With fuel prices remaining volatile, VinFast’s zero-charging-cost offer is expected to provide significant savings for everyday motorists,” the company said. It noted that the program could offset years of fuel expenses, making EV ownership more viable for Filipino drivers.
V-GREEN has committed to installing up to 15,000 charging ports across the country by 2025. Planned sites include malls, expressways, commercial districts, and other high-traffic areas in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Under the agreement, VinFast owners will have exclusive access to free charging at these facilities.
Beyond charging, VinFast said it is backing its vehicles with up to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers of warranty coverage for both cars and batteries, along with nationwide service and showroom support.
The initiative comes alongside government incentives under the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act, which exempts EVs from excise tax and offers benefits such as priority registration and green lane access. Industry observers expect these combined private- and public-sector measures to accelerate EV adoption in the country.
VinFast added that the program supports the Philippines’ clean energy transition. “By offering cost-effective and cleaner transport solutions, we aim to support the country’s push toward climate resilience and energy efficiency,” the company said.
