In addition to the efforts made to help maintain the security of transmission lines, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) teamed up with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to engage with a larger audience for its campaign.
The NGCP and the Department of Energy (DOE) have made calls to help maintain the security of transmission lines in the country. The former previously called on Congress to pass a law declaring planting of trees, and construction under power transmission lines illegal.
NGCP chief administrative officer Anthony Almeda and MTRCB chairman Eugenio Villareal signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to spread the campaign about transmission line safety and the right-of-way (ROW) violations.
MTRCB promised its aide in “making available relevant expert information and other resources, to enable NGCP to mobilize the dissemination of its line safety campaign material to local theater operators.”
