Oil prices seen to drop next week as global supply stabilizes —DOE

Domestic fuel prices are expected to decline next week, driven by improved global supply conditions, according to the Department of Energy (DOE).
The DOE’s estimate for the past four trading days shows that gasoline may go down by more than PHP 1.00 per liter. Diesel could decrease by around PHP 0.50, while kerosene prices are projected to drop by approximately PHP 0.80. These figures may still change based on Friday’s trading results.
DOE Oil Industry Management Bureau Director Rino E. Abad said the forecast reflects a combination of factors: the sustained ceasefire between Israel and Iran, which has helped ease supply concerns in the Persian Gulf; expectations that OPEC will continue releasing an additional 411,000 barrels of oil per day in July; and the looming expiration of the United States’ 90-day tariff suspension on July 9, which could lead to the reimposition of global tariffs by July 10.
