SolX Technologies is strengthening its partnership with Xavier School to implement a rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) project across its San Juan and Nuvali campuses.
The initiative is 80% complete in San Juan and fully operational in Nuvali, reflecting the school’s commitment to sustainability. Following the success of this initiative, Xavier School has renewed its collaboration with SolX Technologies until 2027, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and the adoption of renewable energy solutions.
The firm has entered into a three-year agreement to deliver its Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) services while leveraging the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP) to secure energy supply, aiming to maximize efficiency and drive substantial cost savings over the long term.
Since the project’s launch in September 2023, it has delivered over Php 3 million in electricity savings.
Under the leadership of former President Fr. Aristotle Dy, SJ, and current President Fr. Joseph Y. Haw, SJ, Ed.D., the project has made significant progress toward reducing the school’s environmental footprint.
SolX provided a range of services, including Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED), project management, sourcing for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), operations and maintenance, as well as cost and savings projections.
The combined installations across the two campuses generate 479 kilowatt peak (kWp), contributing to the school’s energy savings and sustainability goals. Specifically, for Xavier School San Juan, the installations delivered 380kWp.
Meanwhile, Xavier School Nuvali has delivered 99kWp. This qualifies them to participate in the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP) because it satisfies the minimum requirements of having an average demand of 100 kilowatts (kW) over the last 12 months.
Xavier School’s Treasurer, Dobbin Tan, expressed confidence in the partnership, saying, “SolX’s expertise has empowered us to make well-informed decisions that enhance our operational efficiency while reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.”
SolX provides innovative energy solutions tailored to help businesses optimize their energy use and achieve cost savings.
One of its offerings, Energy Portfolio Management (EPM), assists businesses in optimizing their energy contracts. By providing an “apples-to-apples” comparison of energy options, this platform minimizes price volatility and maximizes savings, ensuring clients make well-informed decisions.
Another key solution, Smart Energy Monitoring (SEM), empowers businesses to manage and reduce energy costs effectively. With real-time energy data and actionable insights, this platform enables organizations to optimize operations and achieve their cost-saving objectives.
Additionally, Energy Efficiency and Compliance (EEC) focuses on streamlining energy management while ensuring regulatory compliance. Through comprehensive energy audits, this service identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce expenses, and meet sustainability goals, helping businesses stay competitive in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.
