ACEN Corporation has approved an additional PHP 60-million funding facility for YMP Telecom Power Inc. (YMP) to support the wholly owned subsidiary’s ongoing operational requirements as it scales up renewable-powered solutions for the country’s growing telecom sector.
ACEN, in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, said its Executive Committee cleared the working capital facility on 21 November 2025, with the agreement signed on the same day. The funding will help YMP manage its expansion pipeline as demand for clean and stable tower power continues to rise nationwide.
YMP develops micro-solar systems that directly energize telecom towers. The company operates 198 sites with a combined solar-and-battery capacity of 15.5 megawatts, generating about 9.5 gigawatt-hours per year. All electricity produced by YMP’s systems is supplied straight to telecom towers, reducing diesel use and supporting operators shifting to cleaner and more reliable power.
