Power solutions provider G-Drive Solutions, Inc. has deployed multiple 15-kilovolt-ampere (kVA) diesel generator sets to support construction activities along a key section of the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) in Mexico, Pampanga.
The Cainta-based company said the generator sets are supplying temporary power for construction equipment, site lighting systems, and field facilities at one of the active worksites along the railway alignment.
The deployment supports ongoing construction of the NSCR, a 147-kilometer railway project that will connect Clark International Airport in Pampanga to Calamba, Laguna through a continuous rail corridor spanning Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and CALABARZON.
According to G-Drive, reliable temporary power remains essential at large infrastructure projects where permanent electrical systems may not yet be available or fully operational.
The generator sets help maintain construction activities by providing electricity for critical site operations, allowing work to continue without interruptions that could affect project schedules.
The Pampanga segment is considered one of the most important portions of the railway project, passing through municipalities including Mexico, Angeles City, and Mabalacat before reaching Clark International Airport.
Once completed, the NSCR is expected to improve connectivity between Central Luzon and Metro Manila while significantly reducing travel times across the corridor.
For G-Drive, the deployment marks another participation in the country’s growing rail infrastructure program.
The company previously supplied 150-kVA generator sets for the construction of Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7), the railway project connecting Quezon City and Bulacan.
The experience reflects a growing demand for dependable temporary power solutions as major transportation and infrastructure projects continue to expand across Luzon.
Construction sites often require off-grid power systems during development phases to support equipment, worker facilities, communications systems, and lighting before permanent utility connections are established.
G-Drive is a PCAB-licensed power solutions provider specializing in generator sets, solar photovoltaic systems, and battery energy storage solutions.
As the country’s infrastructure program continues to expand, how important will reliable temporary power solutions be in helping major projects stay on schedule and maintain productivity?
